Raymond mill parts: grinding roller, grinding ring

Raymond mill parts includes grinding roller and grinding ring. And grinding roller and grinding ring are mainly made of the following two kinds of materials:


a) 65Mn

The durability of grinding roller and grinding ring made of 65Mn can be improved remarkably. 65Mn is characterized by high hardness, high wear resistance, and being magnetic. It’s mainly used in deironing-required powder processing industry. In addition to the major needs for iron. And its mechanical properties can be greatly improved after heat treatment, which makes it have high wear resistance and greatly improved toughness.


b) Mn13G2
Compared with 65Mn, the durability of grinding roller and grinding ring made of Mn13G2 is also improved. The water toughening treatment is conducted after casting pouring. Then, the casting becomes non-magnetic and has high tensile strength, toughness, plasticity, which makes the toothed plate more durable. When it is deformed due to severe impact and strong pressure during use, the surface hardening and the martensite takes shape to form a high wear-resistant surface layer. While with good inner toughness, even if worn to very thin, it can also withstand greater impact loads.

How to prolong the service life of Raymond mill?

Before the installation Raymond mill, the persons related to the operation should receive technical training and fully understand its operating principle, performance and regulations of. During the application of Raymond mill, some personnel shall be arranged to take responsibility of management from beginning to end.


To ensure the Raymond mill in a normal working condition, a Safety Operation System for the Maintenance of the equipment must be established. Meanwhile, it is necessary to have the required repairing tools, lubricant and grease, spare parts and accessories during the operation.

After some period of running, Raymond mill should be checked. The worn-and-torn parts, such as rollers, rings and shovels etc. should be repaired or replaced. Before and after the operation, a careful examination should be carried out for the connecting screws, bolts and nuts on the grinding rollers so as to find whether they are loose or sufficiently lubricated.

When their application time surpassing about 500 hours, all the rolling bearings in the roller sleeves of Raymond mill must be cleaned, and the damaged parts should be replaced. The oiling tool can be either a manual oiling pump or grease gun.

How to operate vibrating screen?
